Small World

The relativity of sizes in the natural world is magic! A tiny mushroom is giant to an ant and almost microscopic to a giant tree. Our eyes are meant to see both and everything. To see only the prominent and the obvious is a way of half living only, a walk in an avenue isolated from a universe of small unknown streets. Macro photography really helps us to see the unnoticed and to respect the apparently insignificant.
Here goes a poem instead of a critique…

Get down to the ground

Get down to the ground
Where I live in my anonymous littleness.
From here I see the big world
Your giant feet passing along
Your eyes always looking the distance
Your soul seeking sanctuary
In a future that will remain in the past.

Get down to the ground
Where I’ll wait until you’re tired
Of all your dogmas and routines
Until your body mixes
With my spores in the ground.

Get down to the ground
While there’s light is in your eyes,
While there’s light in your thoughts,
While the day follows the night in its endless course,
While you can chose the pathway in the crossroad
And your feet believe you’ll get there somehow
Before you become a vision in the trail of a star.
